So ... I'm asking yourself ... What are you working?
These days I started working on number 8 of Cornelius (written by Mauro Smocovich) which is the second episode of the new mini-series that will start soon after six.
Then I'm drawing a new episode of Special Unit of the categories and I'm illustrating Carlo Lucarelli for scholarly publishing. In the latter work is supported by Emmanuel Baccinelli that is my former student at the School of Cartoon and Vercelli, which is becoming very good.
I am particularly proud of my students because many of them are getting off in this jungle that is the world of comics, apart Baccinelli also point out that Francis Punch is working on a western that will be released in comic books for a small publisher and Federica Di Meo is working as a colorist, illustrator of children's books and designer for a project of manga online.
But then many others ... Also because now been teaching for eight years with the School of Cartoon and a couple of years in middle and high schools of the Piedmont with the "Landing" then I really knew hundreds of guys and some of them really good and worthwhile.
Even though sometimes I really wonder if they know they are going.
But why do designers want? why does it cool to be "artist"? but I know it is a jungle where we fight knife between his teeth to emerge from the shifting sands? Have no idea how many ranks you must to get to publish?
I was fortunate to publish soon and I have always worked without interruption until today, but I managed to adapt my designs to different requirements, from advertising illustrations for books and magazines, the comic. I can not complain. That is, I complain a lot, but why should not I do for a living what I wanted to do since childhood and that since it is not know so well do, then teach you ... but do not tell my editors.
